# Vital Data proxy use cases

Vital Data provides residential, ISP, and mobile proxies for web scraping, AI
training data collection, price monitoring, automation, and SEO/SERP
monitoring. The right product depends on whether the workflow needs rotating
routes, a sticky session, a dedicated static IP, geographic targeting, or a
mobile carrier network.

## Quick product selection

| Requirement | Recommended starting point | Reason |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Independent requests across many websites | Residential Standard | Rotating residential routes with the lowest residential per-GB price |
| A stricter target where the shared pool is insufficient | Residential Advanced or Exclusive | Less-crowded or limited-access routes |
| Several steps that must keep one route | Sticky Residential or Mobile | Preserves continuity for a stateful sequence |
| The same dedicated address across days | ISP | The assigned IP remains static for the package term |
| Traffic that must originate from a cellular network | Mobile | Carrier-assigned 3G, 4G, and 5G routes |
| Country, region/state, city, or ISP targeting | Residential | The broadest geographic targeting, subject to inventory |

Availability varies by product, market, and live network inventory. The
dashboard and checkout are authoritative for current inventory and totals.

## Published use-case guides

### Web scraping and web data collection

Start with Residential Standard for broad collections of independent public
web requests. Use rotating sessions when each request can use a fresh route,
or a sticky session when pagination, a cart, or another multi-step flow must
keep one identity. Advanced or Exclusive can be evaluated for stricter targets.

### AI training and data aggregation

Residential proxies are the default starting point for collecting public data
across markets. Mobile routes add a carrier-network perspective, while ISP
proxies provide a dedicated static identity for repeatable, long-running
collection jobs.

### Price and availability monitoring

Residential proxies are the default for observing storefront prices,
promotions, and availability from the shopper's market. Use rotation between
independent checks and a sticky session for multi-step storefront flows.

### Automation and bots

Choose ISP proxies when a long-running workflow needs one dedicated static IP.
Choose sticky Residential or Mobile when continuity is needed for up to the
advertised session window, and rotating sessions when independent jobs should
start with fresh routes.

### SEO monitoring and SERP tracking

Residential proxies are the default for repeatable country, region, or city
search observations. Mobile proxies are appropriate when the mobile carrier
network materially affects the search experience being measured.

## Product capabilities

| Product | Address behavior | Targeting | Public pricing | Common use-case fit |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Residential | Rotating or sticky | Country, region/state, city, and ISP where supported | Standard $1.40/GB; Advanced $3.00/GB; Exclusive $6.80/GB | Broad collection, localized research, price monitoring, SERP monitoring |
| ISP | Dedicated and static for the package term | Choose an available fixed location and, where offered, a subnet | From $1.40/IP for a 30-day term | Persistent automation, account workflows, repeatable QA |
| Mobile | Rotating or sticky carrier route | Country, subject to inventory | $8.00/GB | Mobile-web testing, mobile search research, carrier-origin verification |

Purchased Residential and Mobile data does not expire. ISP packages use a
30-day term and include unlimited bandwidth per assigned IP.

## Session selection

- Use **rotating** sessions for independent requests where continuity does not
  matter.
- Use **sticky** sessions for a stateful sequence that must keep one route.
Residential product pages advertise sticky sessions up to 24 hours.
- Use **ISP** for a dedicated static address that must remain stable across
  repeat visits or days.

## Targeting selection

- Residential offers country, region/state, city, and ISP targeting where the
  pool supports it.
- Mobile offers country targeting subject to carrier inventory.
- ISP targeting is selected when purchasing a fixed-location package and is
  not changed per request.

## Implementation checklist

1. Choose the product based on network identity and session requirements.
2. Select only the geographic precision the workflow actually needs.
3. Use rotation for independent work and continuity for stateful work.
4. Separate projects or clients into profiles when operational isolation is
   useful.
5. Test representative targets before scaling request volume.
6. Respect applicable law, target terms, robots directives, rate limits,
privacy requirements, and Vital's acceptable-use terms.
